INTERNSHIP

Tri-County Broadcasting is seeking an intern to assist and learn from our staff in the day to day operation of Tri-County's six radio stations. Audio production, sales, promotions, music and program scheduling, basic engineering and the creation of on-air content will all be involved in this internship.

We are looking forward to meeting a current high school, college or trade school student who is prompt, professional, and ready to learn new skills as they pertain to the radio industry. You must be ready to and willing to commit 3-5 days a week for the duration of the internship (180 hours total).

DUTIES

  • Assist with daily tasks required for continued operation at Tri-County Broadcasting, Inc.
  • Assist with on-air content (ads, promos, sweepers, liners and voice tracking).
  • Assist with engineering needs at the tower site and/or on-location.
  • Assist sales reps with marketing, sales and promotions.
  • Assist with recording, editing, producing ads and promtional messages.
  • Assist with incoming phone calls and contests.
  • Assist clients and customers with over the counter purchases, meetings and prize pick-ups.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available 3-5 days a week (weekdays, some evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid license / I.D. and be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be currently enrolled / academically engaged.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Have the ability to commute. Must be able to get to work via vehicle, bus or ride share.
  • Must possess good people skills.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Must possess good communication and phone skills.
